Best Presentation Award at IBSim-4i

Koussay Daadouch was awarded with the "Best Presentation Award" at the conference “Image-Based Simulation for Industry” (IBSim-4i) which was held from 9 - 13 October 2023 in London, UK. His presentation "Mesoscale Modeling of High-performance Fiber-reinforced Concrete Under Monotonic and Cyclic Loading" pointed out a vision towards a complete and unified virtual lab to model fiber-reinforced concrete and capture its fracture processes.
At the Institute for Structural Mechanics Koussay Daadouch is conducting his PhD under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Günther Meschke in the area of fiber-reinforced concrete models.

The conference IBSim-4i focused on Image-based meshing by which 3D images (e.g. X-ray CT or laser scanning) are converted into ultra-high resolution simulations.

The Best Presentation Award was sponsored by the company Ossila, that is specialised in materials and equipment for fabricating and testing high-performance research devices.
